Usage

Error budget

Enter a service level to get the maximum downtime allowed in each period. You can type a percentage like 99.95 or a number of nines: 4 is the same as 99.99. Add a % to force a plain percentage, like 5%.

Probe frequency

Turn on Add probe frequency and enter your mean time to repair, expected incidents and failed probes to alert. The table then shows how often you need to probe in each period. See how it is calculated.

Reverse

Switch to Reverse and enter the total downtime as days, hours, minutes and seconds. The table shows the availability that downtime leaves you with in each period.

Hours per day

Set it below 24 for a service that only has to be up during business hours. Every period gets shorter accordingly.
